Artists Jane Seymour and Michael Michaud’s love of nature has been an ongoing affair for some time. Their respect for each other’s talents goes back almost 10 years. It all began with Michael’s jewelry collection, Silver Seasons. In addition to selecting pieces for Jane’s wardrobe from his collection, they have worked together creating one of a kind pieces for Jane to wear as well.
As Michael followed her career, so she kept track of Michaels. Jane has always been known for wonderful gatherings at her home surrounded by all the beauty of her gardens. She had in fact used some objets from Michael’s original Table Art to decorate her tables. It was only a natural progression then, that early in 2010 they combined their talents to create Jane’s Garden, Jane Seymour’s Table Art by Michael Michaud. Early spring that year found Michael traveling to Malibu, CA where he and Jane sat down and mapped out the direction for Jane’s Garden. Walking through Jane’s beautiful seaside gardens they selected the plants and flowers to begin their collaboration. The collection, consisting of napkin rings, serving utensils, desk accessories, frames and so much more captures the beauty and exquisite detail of nature in metal. Michael employs the lost wax casting method to preserve all the natural contours and venations of each petal, stem, leaf and flower. Combining their vision of beauty, the exquisite use of layering colors of gold, silver and copper on bronze, zinc and pewter, give Jane’s Garden an elegant and unique look all its own.
